Club drugs, as the name suggests, as drugs that are often used at bars, dance parties, raves, and in clubs. They are usually used at all-night events, which are sometimes held in warehouses. Most of them are psychedelics or stimulants. These are the drugs commonly associated with being slipped into peoples’ drinks when they aren’t looking. They are usually undetectable, and this can lead to date rape or sexual assault. They are relatively cheap and people say they use them to deepen their experience at a rave. The most common ones are ecstasy, GHB, Rohypnol, crystal meth, LSD, and ketamine.

Ecstasy creates hallucinogenic affects and can damage the body’s temperature regulation, which can cause death in extreme cases. This drug is known to be able to cause a lot of damage with only minimal use. It damages the brain’s ability to produce serotonin permanently.

GHB was first used for body building to help increase muscle mass. It was offered in health food stores over-the-counter until it became illegal in 1992. GHB can cause coma and seizures, and combining it with other drugs or alcohol creates illness. GHB has been associated with sexual assault and poisoning. This drug is also known as liquid crystal.

Rohypnol is also commonly known as a date rape drug. People who inject it often don’t remember what happened while they were on Rohypnol. It is a sedative and can cause death when mixed with alcohol. This drug is also known as rophies.

LSD is a hallucinogenic drug that is very unpredictable. Its effects vary by person. It creates extra-sensory perceptions, and people who become addicted to it long-term may develop psychosis.

Ketamine is a drug that is commonly used as an anesthesia in animal medicine. It causes hallucinations and a dream-like state. Long-term chronic use can cause confusion and other brain damage.

All club drugs are dangerous and can lead to severe health problems, including death. Individuals who have a problem with one of these substances should seek help from an addiction treatment program.
